MiMi and Allen came over to celebrate with us!
So..our first Halloween with Camden was the best Halloween I have had in a long time! We could not make it to the pumpkin patch this year but good old walli-world was good enough for us. We had fun! Tradition is Chris will rummage through the boxes and fish out the best ones. Then he lines the contenders in a row and we pick. Chris carved some funny monsters in his and I tried to make a little house with stick windows and a door. No one knew what it was though. I don`t think I pulled off what I was going for. I should have just invested in the magazine I saw it in instead of memorizing the picture cause I must have left a detail out. Anywho...we carved them at our friends annual Pumpkin Carving party. my brother Allen brought his over to carve and he worked very hard on it most of the night. He made some characters from Disney`s Robin Hood. (see pic below)
I decided to set up a table of treats for the parents and neighbors who came by. I had pumpkin ginger snap dip that you serve out of a real pumpkin, and banana bread, cookies, and more. The bat sign says "stop for a bite". It was a big hit and we met a ton of neighbors! They stopped and chatted with us longer than if they were to just get candy and leave. I loved it and I hope to do it again next year!

Jackie, you're amazing. Where do you come up with all these CUTE ideas? I love how you set up a refreshment table to get to know the people in your neighborhood. I've never seen anything like it here. I want to be your neighbor. :)
