Today we dedicate our son to the Lord...

It was a beautiful day on Sunday November 9th. A perfect day to stand before our friends and family and make our promises to raise Camden a Christian. All of Chris`s family as well as all of my family gathered in our home to celebrate. We choose to have his Dedication (baptism/christening) in our home because we thought it would be a more intimate experience. A close friend of our family, Sharon, conducted the ceremony. We choose Chris`s brother David and my sister Jennifer as God parents. They promised to help see that Camden grows to know God. My brother Allen played a special song on his guitar while his girlfriend Jen sang. ("my wish for you"). It was beautiful. Mom`s best friend Marty flew from Kansas to be a part of Camden`s special day. She also spent countless hours sewing a gorgeous Dedication suit for Camden. Complete with matching bib and Shaw. The pictures do not do it justice. The details were hand sewn and the whole thing looked like it came out of a boutique. My sister Jennifer and her husband and three kids came to stay for the weekend. Together we all chipped in to make brunch for the event. Mom, Marty, and me made lots of memories together as we laid out the tables and put together centerpieces and planned. We all seem to thrive on hosting events. We should go in business together. ( : Well, by the end of the day I was able to finally get everyone together for a picture of my side of the fam. So there we all are except JK`s wife Miach who was not able to make it. Mom, Me, Allen, JK, Karen, Jen, our kids, and better halves. I did not take pictures, these are from Marty`s Camera so Mom may have gotten more on her camera of Chris`s side of the family. Any who... it was a beautiful day and we were so excited to have everyone in our home together. Thank you Marty, Mom, Jen-Jen, GiGi, PaPa, Allen, Baylee, Daryl, ...I could go on and on. We are so truly blessed to have such wonderful families and friends. And most importantly... the LORD has blessed us with Camden!

  2. Thank you for sharing this special day with us through your blog. Camden is a very blessed little boy to have two parents who not only love one another but also love him enough to make it a priority from the time he is small to teach him about his Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I love the clothes Marty sewed for him. Any chance you could share the music Allen and Jen performed? I'm sure it was beautiful.
